Let me explain to you – with an online examination, you can see an X-ray image, which is only auxiliary diagnostic tool, even if it is a high-quality image such as a cbct.
Through on-line examination and x-ray it is not possible to see in detail the bite (relationship of the upper and lower teeth), the attachment of the gums and numerous other details on which the entire therapy may depend.
For example, a lady asked us for a preliminary estimation based on her X-ray and said that she was offered veneers in America. Luckily, she was in Serbia at the time and came for an examination at our office.
We found out that she has a completely inadequate bite and that her veneers will not be beautiful because of that. Previously, it was necessary to correct the position of the teeth with invisalign therapy, and then make veneers. Invisalign therapy has increased her expenses by several thousands of euros, and she had to come twice more from America. If we had given an estimate based on an X-ray, it would have been completely inapplicable.
A similar situation happened with a patient who wanted a preliminary calculation for an implant and a crown. In the country where he lives he was told that he had to extract a tooth, install an implant and place a crown.
So he sent us a picture of the tooth where we saw that the tooth might be able to be saved and that extraction is not necessary. We say maybe because the recording was of very poor quality, and in order to make sure whether we can really save the tooth, we must first remove the caries and see how much of tooth is left.
Certainly, using a natural tooth is much better for the patient from a biological and financial point of view.

We cannot determine such things either with an online review or with the help of a x ray.
Or another situation when the patient asked for an estimate for all on 6 work.
At that time, we didn`t have any x ray of the situation. We didn’t know if there was enough bone at all to install the implant or if gum surgery was needed afterwards. Because poorly placed gums and problems with them can compromise the entire all on 4/6. And bone augmentation, if needed, increases the price by several thousand euros and also increases the number of arrivals in Belgrade.
