Practically, when we have a toothless jaw, it is possible to do two solutions – all on 4 and all on 6

It involves a dentition of 12 teeth placed on 6 implants in one toothless jaw.
All on 6 is a much more stable and long-term solution compared to All on 4. A larger number of implants support the dental bridge on its end parts (there are no “hanging” members), which contributes to a good static and a dynamic of the bridge.
This solid and resistant construction can accept stronger chewing forces and higher weight of the bridge. That is why All on 6 is mostly made of ceramic materials that are heavier and more sensitive, but have one wonderful and relieving feature – they do not change color in the mouth over time.
The fact is that the All on 6 concept requires more bone in the back of the jaw.
It is important to know that even if you do not have enough bone for All on 6, there are procedures, called bone augmentation, that will allow you this type of therapy. Of course if you have enough bone, it does not need to be augmented and implantation can begin immediately.
If you don’t have teeth in your upper jaw and you want all on 6, don’t worry, it can mostly be done. If you haven’t had your back molars for a long time, it’s likely that there has been bone loss in those parts of the jaw. Instead of bone, now there are maxillary sinuses. In order to create enough bone for dental implants, we perform sinus lift procedures, which is a type of bone augmentation. How we start the all on 6 process of installing dental implants?
You must think that it is a process when you come to the office, we make an agreement and begin the surgical part of placing dental implants. It can be like that, but in most cases it is not. Usually we do a complete denture first. Although they slow down our therapy a little because the fabrication of the denture
takes some time, it gives us the best picture of the future position of the teeth and gums, which is very important for your final work.
And what x rays do we need for all on 6?
For all on 6 dental implants, we use three-dimensional (CBCT) scans. You can make them in the place where you live and send to us via we transfer. That way we would have a much clearer picture of your condition and needs in advance.
To some extent, we could plan the therapy and the stay in Belgrade in more detail. Also, the same x ray you can make in Belgrade in almost any x ray center, without making an appointment and the price is around 80 euros for both jaws.
The next step is planning your all on 6 case.
Based on already made denture and cbct x ray, we plan your all on 6 teeth in softwer and produce surgical guide. It helps to install implants in exactly determined position and provides more accuracy to the final work.
And now implantation comes
Implants placement takes about 2 to 3 hours. And don’t worry, you won’t feel anything because of the local anesthesia.
Of course, if you wish, dental implants for all on 6 can be installed under sedation. Then the patients are completely relaxed but they don’t sleep completely. They answer our questions but don’t have the impression that an intervention is being done.
All on 6 placement of implants under sedation subjectively takes much less time – for a 2-hour intervention, patients think that it lasted approximately 20 minutes.
On already placed implant we put special titanium parts called multiunits. They will hold the temporary bridge which you will get the same or next day after implant placement.

It is important to know that you shouldn`t use this bridge for chewing solid food.
Recently installed dental implants should not suffer the pressure until they completely integrate with the bone, which is about 3months after implantation. The purpose of the temporary bridge is not to chew but to preserve the relationship between teeth and jaws, the temporomandibular joint, speech and aesthetic appearance while the therapy lasts.

Is all on 6 painful?

When will I get all on 6?
So the first stage is about planning, implant placement and making the temporaries.
Then we leave a time so your body does the integration of implants with the bone. It takes couple of months.
After the implants sets firmly into the bone, we create your final all on 6 work.

What material are the teeth made in all on 6?
Well, they can be made from various materials such as porcelain fused to metal, combination of titanium, porcelain and composit….
You should know that in Queen clinic we deal only with the best quality of material and constructions. We made it from titanium bar (which is not visible outside but gives excellent mechanical properties) and zirconia that gives natural beauty to your smile. Of course it can be made whole by zirconia but it can be a bit risky.
During the procedure of making the implant-prosthetic work, we use digital procedures, and we have significantly minimized the time of making as well as the necessary corrections.
This is followed by the final tightening of the abutments on the dental implants and fixation of the future dental bridge, which ends the whole process.
How is All on 6 fixed?
It can be fixed with screws or cementing.
All on 6 fixed with a screw is more elegant and a better. It can only be removed by a dentist and can be repaired if needed to some extent.
The good thing about screw retained All on 6 is that there is no fear that the cement will get under the gum (it is known that cement that goes unnoticed can cause serious complications).
All on 6 can be cemented but only in situations where the structure does not go under the gum and the cement can be easily removed. The cemented bridge cannot be removed unless it is destroyed, and then a new one needs to be made.

How is All on 6 dental implants maintained?
Of course we will explain and show this in detail once you get in our clinic, but here is just a note.
Good and regular oral hygiene is necessary for all prosthetic works on dental implants. The toothbrush alone is not enough, special brushes and dental flosses for implants must be included in the cleaning. Interdental brushes are always as good as oral irrigators.
We can remove the screw retained all on 6 in the office once or twice a year in order to clean the part of the bridge that lies on the gums. Cemented all on 6 bridges cannot be temporarily removed. They are designed to allow you to clean better every day at home.
